The Nintendo Switch has several controller options available to it. There are the default bundled Joy-Cons, the Pro controller, and a bunch of third-party options. Now if you grew up playing the GameCube and would love to see GameCube controllers for the Switch, you could be in luck according to a post on Reddit.

In the post on Reddit, user Mew_The_Creator shared some photos (via Nintendo Everything) of what appears to be officially licensed third-party controllers shaped and styled like the GameCube. Note that these aren’t controllers made by Nintendo and are apparently made by PowerA, but given that they’re officially licensed it means that they should work just fine.

In terms of features, it’ll play pretty much like the GameCube controller given its shape. There are some who might actually prefer this setup so it could be worth taking a look at when they are released. According to Mew_The_Creator, “Nintendo sent them to our facility to produce product layout for stores so the actual controllers aren’t in there, but the product is confirmed.”

At the moment purple and black are the only color options we see. No word on pricing yet either or an official release date, but hopefully it won’t be too long until we get the official details.
