As much as Nintendo tries to develop and publish their own games, it is a monumental task which is why they usually have to work with outside developers to encourage the development of more games for its platform. So far Nintendo has some interesting collaborations, such as with Ubisoft which resulted in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.

For those who loved the collaboration between Nintendo and Ubisoft, you’ll be pleased to learn that this collaboration is expected to continue. Speaking during a Q&A session, Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that their collaboration between Nintendo will continue in the future and that they hope that they will be able to surprise gamers with new things.

“It is very strong because we have done many things together in the past. The Nintendo brands and their capacity to create fantastic games is really something that our creators in Ubisoft love, and when they can collaborate with Nintendo they are extremely happy to do so. So yes it will continue, and I hope we will be able to surprise you with new things in the future.”

It is interesting because Ubisoft had a slightly different stance with the Wii U several years ago. The company was initially one of the Wii U’s biggest supporters and launched titles designed specifically for the console. However with sales flopping and reception being tepid, the company ultimately decided to hold back on releasing more titles.
