Asus has reached out today to confirm that it’s now taking pre-orders for the ZenFone 5Z. The smartphone will be available from retailers later this week. The company’s latest flagship smartphone was supposed to be launched in June initially, Asus has decided to take longer to bring this device to the United States.

The Asus ZenFone 5Z features a 6.2 inch Full HD+ display with a 90 percent screen to body ratio. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It packs an intelligent dual camera system powered by two Sony IMX363 camera sensors.

One has a 120 degree wide-angle lens while the primary sensor has 12 megapixels with f/1.8 aperture, and an 83 degree field of view. It can record 4K video at 60 frames per second as well. All of this is backed up by a 3,300mAh battery with fast charging technology.

The handset includes a feature called AI Charging which maximizes the battery lifespan by dynamically adjusting the charging rate by keeping an eye on the user’s charging habits to slow down the battery’s aging process.

The Asus ZenFone 5Z is available for pre-order now in Midnight Blue from Asus, Amazon, B&H, and Newegg for $499. It’s going to be available at retail starting August 6th.
