Amazon originally released the Kindle Voyage back in 2014. The e-reader had some additional features compared to the Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite. It was also a bit more expensive but many Kindle fans went ahead and picked one up due to the additional features. It now appears that Amazon has discontinued the Kindle Voyage.

Amazon had reportedly removed the Kindle Voyage from its storefront at the end of July. That was perhaps the biggest indication that the company had decided to discontinue this product. Its premium status was taken over by the Kindle Oasis that was launched in 2016 for $250.

The Kindle Voyage was thinner and lighter than other Kindle devices when it was launched in 2014. It also had a glass screen and haptic buttons for page turning. At $200, it was a bit more expensive than the other Kindle options.

According to reports, the Kindle Voyage has also been removed from Amazon’s comparison table for Kindle e-readers. The table only has the basic Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, and the premium Kindle Oasis for comparison now.

While it may not be possible to purchase a new unit of the Kindle Voyage through Amazon anymore, refurbished versions of the e-reader are still available and can be purchased by anyone who wishes to get their hands on this product.
