Fossil sub-brand Diesel is known for its large watches so it didn’t really come as a surprise when the company launched its equally large first smartwatch last year called the On Full Guard. It had a case size of 48mm, not a lot of Android Wear smartwatches went up to that size. Diesel is back with a new smartwatch at IFA 2018 and it sticks to the script wth the Full Guard 2.5

The Full Guard 2.5 is the biggest Wear OS (Android Wear) smartwatch launched so far. The case size is a whopping 56mm with a 1.39 inch display. It’s unquestionably going to be the biggest smartwatch on the market.

It has Diesel’s signature bold design and is powered by Wear OS and the Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. Additional features include rapid charging, music control, smartphone notifications, basically everything you would expect from a smartwatch.

The device is also capable of automatically tracking heart rate across multiple types of workouts through apps like Google Fit. It’s NFC-enabled as well so users will be able to make payments on the go with Google Pay. The built-GPS will allow users to leave the smartwatch at home when they go out for a run.

The Diesel Full Guard 2.5 will be available in four styles which include four matte steel cases with different strap options and an all gunmetal steel case on a three-link bracelet. Diesel will be selling this smartwatch through select stores and its website starting in October 2018.
