Chinese robotics company Vbot made its official European debut at IFA 2026, where I saw its SuperDog in action. Commercial deliveries began in China in May 2026, and European pre-orders are now open for the company’s consumer robot dog at €2,988.

SuperDog is designed as a family robot companion, with behaviors inspired by a real dog. At IFA, I saw it walking beside a person on a leash, but it can also autonomously follow its owner without one. Vbot summarizes the concept around four functions: move with you, follow you, carry for you, and be with you.
The carrying capability gives SuperDog a practical role beyond companionship. It can carry up to 12 kg, and Vbot demonstrated it at IFA with a cargo basket loaded with drinks and other items. The company also rates it to tow up to 100 kg, enabling carts and other carrying accessories.
To move around independently, SuperDog combines 128 TOPS of onboard AI processing with binocular vision and LiDAR. Its perception system lets it navigate its environment and follow people without relying on a remote control. Voice interaction and agent intelligence add a conversational layer, while an animated face gives the robot a more approachable personality.
SuperDog can also work as a remote home companion and monitoring robot, with video monitoring, autonomous patrol, and smart-home applications among the scenarios Vbot is developing. Outdoors, the company envisions it following its owner while carrying gear or groceries.
According to Vbot, its robots have already accumulated 131,500 hours of companion time, 23,700 km alongside users, and 1.26 million LLM interactions. SuperDog has completed CE verification for Europe, marking Vbot’s transition from the Chinese market into a broader consumer launch.
Vbot is also offering two more specialized versions. The SuperDog EDU, priced at €7,988, is an expandable platform that can be equipped with additional hardware, including a robotic arm, extra sensors, and computing modules for research and commercial applications. The SuperDog EDU-W, priced at €10,988, adds a wheel-legged design for faster movement and improved mobility across different terrain.
