The other thanks to a leaked render, a certain Moto P30 handset was revealed to be the company’s upcoming smartphone. It turns out the leaks were right on the money because over in China, the Moto P30 has been officially launched with a design that seems to be causing some mixed feelings.

While there is nothing wrong with the design itself, it’s hard to ignore the fact that the Moto P30 seems to be a cross between the iPhone X and Huawei’s P20 (especially with that color design). The notch seems to have been designed to look like the iPhone X, along with the orientation of the rear-facing dual cameras. However there is quite a massive lip at the bottom of the phone where the Motorola branding is placed.

Apart from that, at a glance you could be mistaken for thinking it was either the iPhone X or the Huawei P20. Similarities aside, the Moto P30 is a decently-specced mid-ranged handset. We’re looking at a 6.2-inch FHD+ display with Gorilla Glass, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a microSD card slot.

There will also be a 16MP + 5MP rear-facing camera setup, a 12MP front-facing camera, and will come with a 3,000mAh battery with Android 8.1 Oreo running the show. The phone seems to be exclusive to China at the moment where it is priced starting at $305.
