Nintendo Switch’s online service will be launching in the second half of September and we’re sure that there are some gamers who might be a little hesitant to get on board. However Nintendo has recently started to promote its upcoming online service by using classic NES games as a way to entice gamers.

Now in addition to allowing Switch gamers to play their games online with other Switch gamers, a subscription to the Switch’s online service will also come with access to a bunch of classic NES games. As you can see in the image above, Nintendo has highlighted Super Mario Bros. 3 as one of the titles that will be available.

Other titles also include Soccer, Balloon Fight, Tennis, Ice Climber, Donkey Kong, Dr. Mario,  The Legend of Zelda, and more. “With online play added to every classic game, you can compete (or cooperate) online with friends, share your screen, or pass the controller, depending on the game. With the Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app, you can also voice chat during your play sessions.”

Nintendo has also promised that more classic titles are expected to be added at a later date. In addition to classic games, the subscription will also provide gamers with data cloud backup along with special offers. To be fair the Switch’s online service is actually quite affordable at $20 a year, making it a good sight cheaper than the competition. Those who are interested can actually go ahead and pre-purchase their subscriptions.
