Being a classic in the Resident Evil franchise, it’s easy to see why gamers are excited about the upcoming Resident Evil 2 Remake. Now it seems that there could be more reasons to be excited about the remake because in a video uploaded onto YouTube by NVIDIA, it appears that Capcom has given the game a huge graphics boost.

In fact the video shows the game being played in 4K resolution while running at a silky smooth 60fps! Safe to say that the game looks fantastic, although it should be noted that this version of the game is being run on the PC, which means that you might need some pretty high-end hardware if you’re hoping to achieve those effects, such as NVIDIA’s new GPUs, for example.

That being said, the actual specs required for the game aren’t particularly demanding, but if you want to run it at the best possible settings, then you might need some better hardware. Starting with the minimum specs, we’re looking an the use of an Intel Core i5-4460 or AMD FX-6300 or better, with 8GB of RAM, along with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R7 260x GPU with 2GB of VRAM.

For those who wish to run the game at slightly better settings, an Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD FX-9590 or better processor will be required, 8GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 480 with 3GB of VRAM. The Resident Evil 2 Remake is currently set for a release on the 25th of January, 2019 where it will launch on the PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
