#IFA18 – If you’re shopping about for a new smartwatch and want something that looks clean and minimalistic, then you might be interested to learn that Skagen has since announced their latest smartwatch in the Falster 2. This is the successor to the original Falster and as expected of a successor, will come packed with a bunch of new features.

In terms of design, the Falster 2 doesn’t seem to deviate too far from the original. However it does come packed with a ton of new features, a complaint that some had of the original in which the design was praised, but some felt that it was a bit lacking. The Falster 2 will come with a heart rate sensor, GPS, and will also support NFC payments, which pretty much brings it in line with what a lot of smartwatches can already do these days.

There will also be the addition of two programmable pushers which will allow users to customize it to launch their favorite apps. The watch has also been upgraded where it will now be swimproof, so the watch is no longer limited to land sports but can also be used to track your swims, or take it with you in the shower, and so on.

The Falster 2 will continue to be powered by Google’s Wear OS platform so you should have access to all the same apps and features that other Wear OS devices have. It will be priced at $275 and will be available for purchase starting in September.
