At the start of this year, it was announced that “The World Ends With You: Final Remix” would be launching on the Nintendo Switch. For those unfamiliar, The World Ends With You is one of the more popular RPGs available for Nintendo’s DS handheld console, so safe to say that its launch on the Switch was met with open arms.

However there was the question of when the game would launch, which now according to a listing on Nintendo’s website has revealed that the game will be released on the 12th of October, 2018. Developed by Square Enix, this version of the game will feature some additional content that was not part of its original release from 2008.

According to the description on Nintendo’s website, “That’s all Neku knows after regaining consciousness in the middle of a busy intersection without his memories. Now he and his partner must fight to survive a life-or-death game in this twisted tale with more turns than the urban labyrinth of Tokyo they’re trapped in. This definitive version of Square Enix’s RPG classic brings the dark story to life on the Nintendo Switch system along with a new scenario and some killer, new remixed music.”

There is no word on pricing just yet, but we expect that it shouldn’t be more expensive than a standard Switch game, or possibly cheaper due to the fact that this is essentially a remake of an older title.
