If you have played the mystery thriller title Alan Wake which came out back in 2010 you will be aware that it has structured as a TV series of sorts. The plot was divided into episodes which had their own cliffhangers. It was ripe for an actual TV series and that’s precisely what’s happening now. It has been confirmed that an Alan Wake TV series is now in development.

The game follows the story of fictitious best-selling author Alan Wake through a small town in Washington where he feels that the plot from his last novel, of which he has no memory of writing, is coming to life.

Alan Wake’s creator Sam Lake will be an executive producer on the project with Peter Calloway serving as the writer and the showrunner. Calloway is known for his writing on the Cloak and Dagger shows and the fact that he’s the executive producer of the Legion series.

Variety reports that Calloway will be pitching the show to networks next month but it remains to be seen how soon it will be out even if it does get picked up. Fans may have to wait for a considerable time before the Alan Wake TV series hits their screens.
