In case all the flagship phones that we’ve seen launched this year aren’t your cup of tea, not to worry because Google’s Pixel phones have yet to be launched. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are expected to be the company’s next flagship handset and now according to an invite sent out by Google, it has been confirmed that the unveiling will take place next month.

To be more specific, the event will be taking place on the 9th of October in New York City. The event invite sent out contained a GIF that showed Google’s logo, some animation, and the words “I <3 NY”, with the “<3” being highlighted. Presumably this is Google’s way of alluding to the Pixel 3 handsets.

The event will more or less be focused on the Pixel 3 handsets, but there are rumors that other Google products could be announced as well. For example Google could be looking to launch their own Google-branded Smart Display. An updated Chromecast has also been spotted at the FCC which suggests that it could be part of the event as well.

There were also initially rumors about a Google Pixel Watch, but a recent report has suggested that the device might not be launched this year. Either way we’ll find out soon enough so mark the date down on your calendars, and check back with us next month for the official details.
