A lot of us are guilty about griping about how long games take to be released. However there are some of us who do not have the luxury of time, such as Chris Taylor who has been diagnosed with cancer and has been told that he is terminally ill, meaning that he does not have much time left in this world.
Taylor had previously expressed his concern and fears about how he might not get a chance to play Nintendo’s upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (which is due for a release this December), and how it hurt him to see all the trailers and discussion about a game he might never get to play.

However the folks at Nintendo caught wind of this and actually sent reps to visit Taylor where they let him play a demo of the game for 3 hours. The demo in question was the one that was used at E3 2018. It was initially kept a secret as according to Taylor, reps travelling with a Switch containing an unreleased demo of a game makes it a high value target to be stolen, which is why he did not say anything until after the fact.
I found out they were coming around Tuesday and couldn't say cause even a switch with a demo on it is a high value target to be stolen, same for as why i didn't get to keep the demo (though i absolutely expected that)

As Game Informer points out, this isn’t the first time that Nintendo granted the wish of a dying fan. Back in 2017 the company actually flew an advanced copy of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to a gamer who had only hours left to live, although the company did not publicize it.
