There have been quite a few reports recently about Razer’s upcoming device ever since the company itself confirmed that it’s working on the successor to the original Razer Phone. The company has now sent out invites to the press for an event on October 10th and it’s quite likely that it’s going to be unveiling the Razer Phone 2 at this event.

The invite itself doesn’t say much about what the company is planning to unveil at the event. It does mention the words “flagship // gaming,” which is as good a hint as any that this is about the next-generation Razer Phone. The original handset was branded as a flagship gaming phone after all.

The reports that we have seen so far suggest that the Razer Phone 2 won’t have any major design changes compared to its predecessor. It’s also believed to be powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor which is to be expected of any Android flagship this year. Reports also suggest that Razer’s Chroma LED effects may be onboard for notifications as well.

Razer’s event has been scheduled for October 10th, merely a day after Google launches its upcoming handsets, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. No word as yet on the pricing and release date of the new Razer device.
