Microsoft Edge For iOS Now Supports Siri Shortcuts

Our smartphones are supposed to help make our lives more efficient and easier, and this is why we’re starting to see how pretty much all companies start introducing ways to automate tasks on their devices and software. For example Google Assistant has its routines feature, and Siri has Siri Shortcuts.

Now for those who use iOS devices and Microsoft’s Edge browser, you might be interested to learn that Microsoft has announced that its Edge browser will now be supported by Siri Shortcuts. However note that the support hasn’t actually gone live for all users yet, and that it is currently only available to beta testers, but it should eventually be available for all.

For those who might be unfamiliar with Siri Shortcuts, in a way it is similar to Google Assistant’s Routines where users can setup multiple actions and group it into a single command/shortcut. If you’re wondering why this sounds familiar, it is because Siri Shortcuts is basically a rebranded version of Workflow, an automation app that Apple had acquired back in 2017.

That being said there is no word on when the Siri Shortcuts for Edge will come out of beta, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for it for when it does. The beta will also include a bunch of other changes and updates that should also be released alongside the support for Siri Shortcuts.
