Earlier this year, it was announced that an interactive version of Minecraft would be launching on Netflix. It does seem odd that Netflix would be the platform that Minecraft would launch on, considering that they’re not known for gaming, but like we said, this is an interactive version of Netflix which we guess doubles as a story as well.

For those who might be interested in this, you’ll be pleased to learn that the interactive version of Minecraft has launched on Netflix and is available for those who want to check it out. Now it should be noted that this isn’t a full-fledged game, at least it’s not the same Minecraft that you might be familiar with.

Instead it seems to be more like a choose-your-own-adventure kind of game, which some of you might be familiar with. For those who aren’t, basically choose-your-own-adventures present the player with a story and then they give them options to choose on how they want to proceed. Depending on your choice, the narrative of the game changes, but the upside is that the story isn’t necessarily set and you get to decide the direction that you want to take.

Note that the interactive version of Minecraft is developed by Telltale Games which has since been shuttered, so whether or not a second season will be made remains to be seen. In the meantime the first three episodes are already available with the remaining two set for a release next month.
