When Google launched their Pixel phones, the company ran into various QA issues with the handset where users were reporting a multitude of bugs and hardware issues. This continued with the Pixel 2, and now it looks like the Pixel 3 is also suffering from various hardware and software problems as well.

The latest complaints about the handset were found on Reddit (via MobileSyrup) where several users have been complaining about the handset’s display flickering. The issue for some users involves how part of the screen suddenly going extremely bright, while the other part of the screen remains dark.

For now it has been speculated that this could be a software issue as it was reported that users started experiencing this after the November 2018 security update. From the video posted on Reddit, it looks like it might have something to do with the sensors on the front of the phone. Others are speculating that it could be caused by the “Ambient Display” feature.

Google has yet to officially comment on the problem, but according to the user, Google replaced his phone as apparently it was a hardware problem. That being said, this isn’t the only issue the Pixel 3 is facing. There have been reports that the phone is overheating while charging, memory management issues, and there have been some users who have been complaining of vanishing text messages.
