Good news gamers! If you have bought either Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! and are also planning on buying Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Nintendo has a little reward for you. Announced on Twitter, it seems that gamers who own either version of Pokemon: Let’s Go will be able to unlock a Partner spirit in the upcoming game.

In case it wasn’t obvious, gamers who own the Pikachu version will get a Partner Pikachu spirit, while those who own the Eevee version of the game will get a Partner Eevee spirit. This will require that gamers own either version of Pokemon on the Switch console and who also have a saved game file on the console.

For those who are unfamiliar with the spirit system, this has been likened to the sticker system from previous Super Smash Bros. titles. They will provide players with additional stat boosts, and can be leveled up at a gym or with food. These spirits can also be unlocked by winning spirit battles, and it should be noted that the Pikachu and Eevee spirits are actually unlockable by those who don’t own the Pokemon: Let’s Go games, so they aren’t exclusive. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is currently set for a release on the 7th of December, 2018.
