The winters are here and if you have heated seats in your car, it’s a feature that you’ll be using frequently this season. You’d feel much more comfortable getting into the car when it’s cold outside if the seats have been pre-heated. Tesla is now allowing owners to do that. The latest update for its mobile app enables Tesla owners to remotely activate the heated seats inside their car.

It has long been possible for owners to adjust the climate control inside the car remotely. This feature wasn’t present before but with a simple update to the app, Tesla has now made it possible for owners to activate their car’s heated seats remotely.

They just need to tap on the seats when looking at the car’s virtual model inside the app. If their car has a heated steering wheel, then its heating functionality can be activated remotely using the same method as well.

The app will also allow owners to set just how hot they want the seats to be before they get inside the car. It’s a nice little update to ensure that Tesla owners remain comfortable during the winter season. It’s one of the reasons why many Tesla owners swear by their electric cars.
