The Mobile World Congress 2019 is just around the corner. It will take place in the final week of February. Many companies will be headed to Barcelona, Spain in order to show off their latest wares. LG is now teasing one such announcement for the event. It appears that the device it unveils at MWC will offer gesture control.

The company has put up a 13 second video to tease the launch of this new device which will apparently say “Goodbye Touch.” The video highlights a hand that waves messages through without having to touch the display of the device once. It looks very cool, almost Minority Report-esque.

The video’s description suggests that this device might be called the LG Premiere and the company is going to announce it ahead of the MWC 2019 in Barcelona next month. LG has dabbled with gesture control for its products in the past as well. Some of you might remember that LG tried its hand at allowing users to control their TVs using hand gestures, effectively enabling them to use their fingers as an on-screen cursor.

No further information is available about this product right now but it will certainly be an interesting one to watch out for. The announcement is due to be made on February 24th.
