According to the rumors, Apple could be hosting an event on the 25th of March where they are expected to launch their new video streaming and news subscription service. In light of the potential launch of these services, Apple has made some changes to the way users manage their subscriptions.

As part of the iOS 12.1.4 update, Apple has made some changes to the iOS App Store where it will now be easier for users to manage and view their subscriptions. When launching their App Store on iOS devices, users will be able to see a “Manage Subscriptions” menu option which will show them their subscriptions and let them choose what they want to do with it.

Prior to this, users on iOS devices had to dive quite far into the menu in order to find their subscriptions. This made it difficult for users who aren’t quite as tech savvy, leaving them with recurring subscriptions that they might no longer want, or might have been accidentally tricked into signing up for.

Apple has since been dealing with scam subscriptions and implementing measures that will make it difficult for unscrupulous developers to scam users into subscribing, presumably all ahead of the company’s plans to take on subscriptions in a big way with their own services.
