Given how well-received the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro smartphones were back in 2018, it’s safe to say that many are anticipating the launch of the Huawei P30 smartphones. The good news is that Huawei has since confirmed that the P30 and P30 Pro smartphones will be officially announced next month.

The company posted its announcement on Instagram where the launch date of the device has been set for the 26th of March, 2019. The March date doesn’t come as a surprise given that earlier this month it was confirmed that the event would take place in March, but it looks like we finally have a specific that we can nail down.

The invite also shows a zoomed in image of the Eiffel Tower. Earlier rumors have claimed that the upcoming phone could be packing a 5x lossless zoom camera, and this teaser seems to more or less confirm it. The decision to launch the phone in March is an interesting one as it means that Huawei will be skipping out on using MWC 2019 as its launch platform.

At the same time it’s not a bad idea as many will most likely be focused on companies such as Samsung, so maybe Huawei wants the focus to be on them at their own event. In any case we’ll have to wait until next month for the official details, so do check back with us then for updates. In the meantime Huawei could possibly launch a foldable device at MWC, so there’s that to look forward to.
