Do you fancy yourself being a Dota 2 expert? Do you think that you are able to predict how a match plays out before it ends? If you think that’s you, then you might be interested to learn that Valve has recently launched a new Dota app in the form of the Dota Pro Circuit app where it lets players make predictions in matches and be rewarded if they make the right call.

According to Valve, “You’ll be able to wager your personal stash of Plus Shards to predict the winners of DPC matches, with winnings added to your in-game total. The Fantasy Challenge offers the chance for more Shards, as you compete against your friends and the entire world to put together the best roster of pro players at each event.”

For those who are unfamiliar, Shards are an in-game currency used by Dota Plus members, and while it isn’t real-life money, it still feels very much like gambling and we’re not sure if regulators will be too thrilled about it (a few governments around the world are already quite unpleased with the concept of loot boxes).

Valve adds, “In addition, you’ll have access to a dynamic News Feed that features your personalized favorite teams and players, helping you stay on top of every DPC development along the road to The International.” The app should be live for both iOS and Android users, so head on over to your respective app stores if you’d like to check it out.
