GameStop wants a piece of the esports pie so it has teamed up with esports organization Complexity Gaming to open the GameStop Performance Center in Frisco, Texas. This 11,00 square foot venue will be the new headquarters of Complexity Gaming and will be hosting public events that are aimed at getting amateurs into esports.

The GameStop Performance Center is going to share a location with the Dallas Cowboys. It’s pertinent to mention here that Complexity Gaming is partly owned by the Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. The venue will have a variety of gaming equipment for the esports organization. It’s also going to have a public gaming arena where fans and sponsors will be able to come in and connect over games and esports.

GameStop also plans to host gaming clinics at the venue which will help players improve their skills in popular games such as Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Overwatch. Fans will also be encouraged to take part in amateur esports tournaments which will be held at the venue throughout the year.

GameStop is also teaming up with the Collegiate Star League to host online and on-campus esports tournaments. It will host Overwatch watch parties in major cities across the United States as well. These events will feature exclusive content, merchandise, and other promotions.
