Heading someplace nice for the summer? Google already allows you to book hotels directly through its platform and it’s now expanding this service to include vacation rentals as well. It redesigned the mobile and desktop hotel search experience last year so that users can easily find hotels by price, location, and retains. It’s expanding the hotel search experience by including a wider assortment of vacation rental properties across the globe.

Mobile users will now be able to see and book vacation rentals from different partners include HomeAway, Expedia, Hotels.com, RedAwning, Rentals United, TripAdvisor, and more. The properties, be it a beach house in Sydney or a cabin in Lake Tahoe, will surface in the hotel search experience when the vacation rentals filter is applied or users click on the relevant tip.

The search can then be narrowed using price and amenity filters. The experience will also include photos, reviews, provide rates, and availability status of the property. When you want to book, just click on the “Book” button to complete the transaction on the travel partner’s page.

All of the property information and bookings are provided by that particular partner. The company says that it will bring the vacation rentals filter to the Google Hotels desktop experience next month.
