MoviePass shot to instant popularity because of its unlimited movie plan. The company eventually had to take it away as it faced financial troubles. It’s now bringing back the unlimited plan which allows subscribers to watch an unlimited number of 2D movies in return for a monthly fee.

The plan, MoviePass Uncapped, will normally be priced at $19.95 per month. However, the company is offering it for $9.95 per month for a limited time. Customers willing to pay for the full year via ACH payment will thus be paying what they would have with the original plan, $9.95 per month. Those who don’t want to make the commitment for the entire year can get it for $14.95 per month for a limited time.

Some might wonder why MoviePass is bringing back an unlimited plan when it caused the company so much pain to the point that it almost ran out of money. The company mentions in its announcement today that it’s ability to “combat violations” of the terms of use has improved, and that “MoviePass has the right to limit the selection of movies and/or the times of available movies should your individual use adversely impact MoviePass’s system-wide capacity or the availability of the Service for other subscribers.”

Subscribers will now be able to reserve tickets three hours before showtime and will have to check into the theater between 10 and 30 minutes before the show begins.
