Disney+ aims to be the go-to streaming destination for family-friendly content and it’s expanding that slate with a spinoff series of Pixar’s famous Monsters, Inc. The series will be called Monsters At Work and it will provide a glimpse into the inner workings of Monstropolis. Billy Crystal and John Goodman will reportedly be returning to their roles as Mike and Sully.

Disney CEO Bob Iger has previously said that this streaming service, Disney+, will offer content that’s suitable for families. The content on this service will be more in line with the overall Disney brand. A confirmed release date has not yet been provided for the service but the company has previously said that Disney+ will go live in the fourth quarter of this year.

The spinoff series picks up around six months after the events of Monsters University. The animated show is going to follow the story of Tylor Tuskmon who is a mechanic on the Monsters, Inc. facilities team with dreams of working on the Laugh Floor with Mike and Sulley.

The power plant at the center of the original movie now harvests the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis. The series will be produced by Disney Television Animation with Kat good and Rob Gibbs in to direct.
