Netflix’s deal with one of the biggest stars in music may go beyond just one special. Beyonce’s behind-the-scenes Coachella documentary titled Homecoming is reportedly not the only special that the singer extraordinaire has signed up with Netflix for. It’s actually said to be a three-project deal.

Variety hears that Netflix has inked a $60 million three-project deal with Beyonce, the first of which is the Homecoming special. It’s a behind-the-scenes documentary of her 2018 Coachella performance. HBO is said to have been interested in this project as well but had to back out when Netflix made a more generous offer.

The Homecoming special provides a detailed look at the artist’s work ethic and her life off the stage which is largely obscured from the public eye. It will also delve into the preparations for the spectacular Coachella show. What’s not known right now is what the other two specials will cover and when they’re going to be out.

Netflix is known for singing multi-million dollar deals with some of the biggest names in entertainment. Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle inked deals for specials that were reportedly worth $40 million and $60 million respectively. It appears that the online video streaming giant wants to do the same in the music genre as well. Who better to do that with than Beyonce, one of the biggest names in the industry.
