Last year it was reported that Samsung could be working on a successor to its massive Galaxy View tablet. It turns out the rumors were true because Samsung has since officially unveiled the Galaxy View 2 where it will be available for purchase through AT&T.

In terms of its specs, there’s really not much to shout about. According to AT&T, they told Engadget that the tablet will be packing a mid-range Exynos 7884 octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM and a 5MP rear-facing camera. While those are unimpressive specs, we imagine that the selling point will be its Full HD 17.3-inch display.

This means that while it won’t be as portable compared to smaller tablets, it will make for a good multimedia device in your home. It also packs a 12,000mAh battery that should last you quite a while. Since the tablet is available for purchase through AT&T, there will be LTE connectivity which means that you can use it even when WiFi isn’t available.

Unfortunately, the Galaxy View 2 will not come cheap. It is priced at $37 a month over a 20-month installment plan, making it $740 over the entire duration. However, if you are still interested, the tablet will be available for purchase starting from the 26th of April.
