If you were hoping that 2019 could be the year that Apple introduces a new iPhone design, you could be disappointed. In an image shared on Twitter by Mark Gurman, he has revealed that is allegedly the molds that will be used for the 2019 iPhones. This includes the iPhone 11 and also the iPhone XR 2.

Note that the names of the devices have yet to be confirmed so take it with a grain of salt. That being said, these molds do look remarkably similar to what we have seen in the past, where for the most part, the 2019 iPhones will share a similar design to its predecessors. The main difference would be the camera on the back.

The iPhone 11 is rumored to sport a triple camera setup while the iPhone XR 2 could sport a dual camera design. Also, gone are the camera bumps and instead Apple seems to have opted for a square-like box to group the cameras and lenses together. We’re not sure if there is a point to this particular design, but we can’t say that we’re too impressed.

Gurman has had a pretty good track record when it comes to reporting on Apple rumors and upcoming product launches, so there is a chance that this leak could be the real deal, but as we said, it’s probably safe just to take it with a grain of salt until we get the official word, which should be later in the year.
