It could be by pure chance that you get the same Uber driver at some point in the future. The service operators by connecting you to drivers that can get to you the fastest, not to those that you prefer to ride with over and over again. However, it might do that in the future.

An unannounced feature has been discovered in Uber which may allow riders to pick their “favorite” drivers, enabling them to ride with those drivers in the future. This unannounced feature was discovered by well-regarded app researcher Jane Manchun Wong, who has developed a habit of finding unannounced features in some of the most popular services.

The feature she has discovered in Uber suggests that the ability to favorite drivers will enable riders to be able to ride with them again in the future. No such thing has previously been possible on the world’s largest ride-sharing service.

No further information is available about this feature so far. Uber appears to be testing it out at this point in time so the company itself is yet to acknowledge its existence. It would depend upon the outcome of this test, one would imagine, whether or not this feature is to be rolled out to all users.
