Last year, Bethesda announced a new game for mobile devices called The Elder Scrolls: Blades. It is a game designed to be played on mobile, but during E3 2019, the company has since announced and confirmed that in addition to launching on mobile, Blades is also expected to find its way onto the Nintendo Switch later this year.

Details about the game are scarce, but presumably, it will be more or less the same as the mobile version, although judging by the video shared on Twitter, there will be support for motion controls through the Joy-Cons, where you can use it to hack and slash your way through the game.

In addition to launching on the Switch, it seems that the game will also support cross-play and cross-platform progression. This means that you will not only be able to play with those on mobile via your Switch, but any progress you made on the mobile or Switch version of the game can be carried forwards regardless of platform.

Bethesda seems to be quite a huge fan of the Switch, where the company had previously launched Skyrim for the console, something that many did not expect to see. The Elder Scrolls: Blades is currently expected to be released later this year, although Bethesda did not specify when exactly.
