Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed may be coming to Oculus virtual reality headsets. A new report claims that Facebook has inked an exclusive deal for this purpose. Not a lot of details are available at this point in time about this deal but it appears to be part of a larger push by Facebook to bring some exclusive games to the Oculus VR platform.

The Information reports that Facebook has signed exclusive deals to bring Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed games to virtual reality headsets from Oculus. Ubisoft, the owner of these properties, has previously published multiple virtual reality games such as Eagle Flight which happens to be an Oculus Rift exclusive.

Oculus has already relied on exclusive titles to promote its headsets but it has done that on a smaller scale. The parent company’s deeper pockets and influence will certainly enable the company to significantly improve the exclusive lineup that it offers for its headsets.

Sony, a competitor to Oculus in the VR space, has stuck to a similar strategy as well. It’s pertinent to note that Sony already has strong relationships with the gaming industry since it has been a part of it by virtue of its PlayStation platform. So it’s certainly important for Oculus to do well in this regard.
