Cloudflare’s troubles knocked down many sites yesterday for a couple of hours before everything was up and running once again. Today, it’s Facebook and its properties facing a similar issue. Reports have come in from users across the globe that they’re not able to use Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp in what appears to be another widespread outage. This is actually the third major outage for Facebook properties this year.

According to reports that are filtering in, these services are struggling to stay online all across the globe, but the issue appears to be more severe in Europe and on the East Coast.

The outage has left WhatsApp users unable to send videos, photos, and voice messages even though text messages are still going through. Given the sheer number of people who rely on WhatsApp to communicate not just with their friends and family but conduct business as well, the outage will be stressful, to say the least.

It’s not clear at this point in time what has caused this outage and Facebook is yet to comment on the matter. Users are complaining about issues with access Facebook itself and Instagram as well. Hopefully, the services will be back up sooner rather than later.
