LG unveiled its HU85LA, a second generation 4K laser projector, in December last year prior to the Consumer Electronics Show 2019 in January. It has been quite a while since this product was announced and we now know how much it’s going to cost. LG is selling its new short throw 4K laser projector for $6,000.

It’s interesting to note that the price tag is double what LG charged for the HU80KA, the first generation 4K laser projector. However, one should keep in mind that this latest product is a short throw projector which is capable of creating a 90 inch projection from merely two inches away. It can even create an up to 120 inch projection if kept 7.2 inches away.

The specs that have previously been confirmed include 2,500 ANSI lumens of brightness over the 4K UHD resolution. Connectivity is ensured using USB, Ethernet, and HDMI ports. There’s even support for Google Assistant and LG’s ThinQ AI for voice commands.

This product is obviously not meant for the average joe since it’s priced way out of the range of most customers. However, there are many use cases in which such a product can prove to be quite useful. Nevertheless, it’s quite the toy for those who have deep pockets. They can pick up LG’s short throw 4K laser projector now for $6,000.
