According to a report from a couple of weeks ago, it was suggested that Capcom might have a new Resident Evil game in the works. The company teased the upcoming game on a website titled “Project Resistance”, in which based on the logo, it left little to the imagination that it is somehow related to the Resident Evil franchise, although how exactly is unclear.

More recently, Capcom has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming game where it drops some hints as to what we might be able to expect from it. The trailer isn’t particularly long but it does show a group of people banding together to fight against monsters, suggesting that we could be looking at some kind of multiplayer version of Resident Evil.

That and the fact that Capcom’s description of the trailer mentions that it will be a “brand-new team-based survival horror experience” more or less confirms it. Project Resistance is expected to be shown off at Capcom’s booth at the Tokyo Game Show later this week, where hopefully we’ll have more details about the game including when it might be launched. Until then, if you have a minute or so to spare, you can check out the trailer above.
