Firefox for Android smartphone is not a pretty app. Yes, it does respect the user’s privacy with Firefox’s usual privacy-friendly feature and helped with a seamless experience across desktop/mobile.

No matter how useful it is – it may not be the best browser for Android devices. Hence, Mozilla came up with Firefox Preview – which is an experimental version on the Play Store as the next-gen Firefox browser for Android.

Now, a brand new Firefox Preview 2.0 version update arrived for it. And, it looks like that it is going to be one of the most favorite mobile browsers of all time for an Android user.

We are already aware that Firefox is an ideal browser for both desktop/mobile if you want a privacy-friendly solution. With Firefox Preview 2.0, you will get more control over clearing different types of data from the browser (cookies, history, etc.).

In addition to that, you will be able to add a Firefox Preview search widget on your homescreen just like Google’s. You can even add a website shortcut to your homescreen – which is cool.

Interestingly, it will also let you send a tab right from Firefox Preview to another device. Also, you can launch a private window if you long-tap the icon for the quick shortcuts.

Personally, I have been using the Firefox browser for a long time. And, I can feel the difference between Firefox and the Firefox Preview 2.0. The experimental version is faster and richer in user experience for me at least.

You can download it right now from the Play Store and test it out yourself. If you are curious about the complete technical details on Firefox Preview 2.0, refer the official release notes.
