If you have a big home where you’re finding a lot of dead spots when it comes to WiFi, then it might be time to start investing in a mesh WiFi system. In case you’re unfamiliar, a mesh WiFi system basically allows users to create a blanket of WiFi in their home. Unlike WiFi extenders, which can sometimes degrade the performance, mesh systems will help to maintain the speeds.

Netgear has recently announced their latest mesh WiFi systems with their latest Orbi releases. The company has released Orbi mesh systems in the past, so this is an updated model. According to Netgear, the new Orbi RBK WiFi System will boast speeds of up to 1.2Gbps (although this will also depend on your ISP and internet package), a brand new design, built-in parental controls, and also built-in anti-virus and data theft protection which the company is referring to as Netgear Armor.

Netgear is also claiming that with a two-pack setup, it will be able to comfortably cover as much as 3,000 square feet, although if you need more, there will also be options to purchase it in a three or four pack for larger homes. These routers will also feature Ethernet ports and also support for digital assistants like Amazon’s Alexa and Google Assistant.

The new Orbi mesh WiFi system will be priced starting at $129, making it a relatively affordable purchase for those looking to get started.
