If you’re in the camp that believes that there is a need for gamer-specific headphones, then you might be interested to learn that Sennheiser has recently taken the wraps off their latest gaming headset in the form of the GSP 370. Given that the company typically specializes in more audiophile-centric devices, it’s interesting to see them expand their offerings.

So what makes these headphones different from other headsets? According Sennheiser, battery life would be its key selling factor. This is because the company is boasting that the GSP 370 headset will be able to last a good 100 hours before it needs another recharge, which means that if you only game for a few hours a day, it should last you around a month, if not more, before it runs out of juice, although the company claims that if you game for 6 hours a week, it could last you for four months.

Other features of the headset include a noise-cancelling microphone that can automatically be muted whenever you lift the microphone away from you. The headset will also feature a split, padded headband along with memory foam ear cushions. Thankfully, it also does not sport any of the garish designs that one might expect from a gaming headset, so if you wanted something a bit more discreet, this could be it.

The Sennheiser GSP 370 will be priced at $199.95 and is available from Sennheiser’s website.
