Apple Watch Series 6 Could Offer Up Improved Water Resistance

When the Apple Watch Series 2 was first released, it introduced water-resistance to the smartwatch, allowing users to take it with them to swim. However, according to a report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, he believes that Apple could expand on the water-resistance feature of the Apple Watch in next year’s model.

What exactly this means remains to be seen, but to give you some context, Apple Watch models from the Series 2 onwards features water-resistance of up to 50m, so it is possible that with the Series 6, Apple could take things further by making it even more water-resistant, thus allowing users to take it with them for deeper dives.

In addition to improved water-resistance, Kuo believes that the Series 6 will offer up faster performance, which we guess is a given, along with improved wireless connectivity that will improve on WiFi or cellular speeds. Take these claims with a grain of salt for now, but Kuo has proven in the past to be pretty accurate with his predictions, so there is a good chance that it could be true.

The Apple Watch Series 6 is expected to be announced in the later part of 2020 where it will most likely be launched alongside the 2020 iPhone.
