While most of us might take WhatsApp as a messaging app between friends and family and co-workers, it is also being used as a business tool where business can use WhatsApp to keep in touch with their customers. Now in a step further to make WhatsApp a more robust business tool, the company will soon let users browse products within the app itself.

This new feature is dubbed Catalogs and basically customers who are interacting with businesses through the app will also be able to browse their products. This will be useful for businesses who conduct a lot of their business through mobile apps. Instead of having to send potential customers price lists and photos over and over again, which can be tedious if you get a lot of requests, they can simply build a catalog of products and prices that customers can then peruse in their own free time.

At the moment, the catalogs feature is not available worldwide just yet. It is currently only available in a handful of markets such as Brazil, Germany, India, Indonesia, Mexico, the UK, and the US, but WhatsApp does have plans to eventually make it available in all parts of the world. If you live in any of those regions, then you might want to keep an eye out for it.
