Not too long ago, OnePlus confirmed that they will be showing off a new concept phone at CES 2020. Not much is known about the phone, but in a new teaser video shared by the company, they are hinting that the phone will be sporting an “invisible” camera and also what they are calling “color-shifting glass technology”.

Now, right off the bat, you might think that this invisible camera could apply to the front-facing camera to hide it and also to get rid of the notch, but judging by the video, it seems that this is only applicable to the rear-facing cameras. Basically, from what we can tell, OnePlus is trying to create a seamless look with the phone.

By hiding the camera, it could potentially get rid of the camera bump on the back of the phone, and the color-shifting glass technology could help camouflage it under certain lighting conditions. That being said, that’s pretty much all we know about the phone right now. Perhaps OnePlus will reveal more information leading up to CES, but if not, then we’ll have to wait until next week for the official details.

Also, given that this is a concept phone, there’s no telling if OnePlus has plans to release the phone for real, or if they’re just using it to show off concepts and tech that might find its way to the OnePlus 8 and 8T.
