NVIDIA’s GPUs can do more than just power your games and render graphics. In fact, the company introduced some pretty nifty features in the past such as noise cancellation where it was available as an exclusive feature to the company’s RTX series of GPUs, but the good news is that it isn’t anymore.

NVIDIA has recently updated the app where the feature, previously called RTX Voice, is now simply called Noise Removal. It is also no longer exclusive to the RTX series and basically as long as your computer has a GeForce GPU, you should be able to take advantage of it. This will be useful if you’re playing games and are chatting with the other players or your friends and you don’t have a very quiet environment.

However, it should be noted that according to PC Gamer, they found that there will be a performance hit when the feature is turned on. This means that if your GPU is barely getting by at the moment, it might not be the best idea to turn noise cancellation on at the same time as it could result in your games seeing a decrease in performance.

However, if you’re looking to use it just for voice/video calls then it should be pretty useful, although there are apps like Discord that also have pretty good noise cancellation built into it that might be worth looking into as an alternative.
