In case you didn’t know, in addition to Prime TV, Amazon also owns IMDb TV, a free video streaming service. However, it seems that the company isn’t content with just owning two streaming services and has since announced its latest initiative in the form of MiniTV, a new service that has launched in India.

Given that it is free, MiniTV will be backed by ads and is available through the Amazon India app. Right now, the service is exclusive to India but who knows, maybe it will eventually find its way to other markets that Amazon operates in, but maybe don’t get your hopes up just yet until we get the official word.

According to Amazon, the initial category of shows that we can look forward to include tech, food, beauty, and fashion. Some of the titles in MiniTV have also been produced by web studios in India, but there will also be a back catalog of older content that was previously published on other platforms.

While it won’t bring the latest TV shows or movies, it will be a good option for those who are living in India and want to be able to watch a streaming service without having to pay for it. Right now it is only available on Amazon’s Android app but will eventually make its way onto iOS and mobile web.
