We have been hearing rumors that Samsung has a couple of new foldable phones in the works. One of those devices is the successor to the Galaxy Z Flip, and the other being the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 2. So the question is, when will Samsung be officially announcing these new phones?

According to a report from Yonhap News, it seems that we might be looking at an August event. August actually makes a lot of sense because Samsung has cancelled their plans for the Galaxy Note this year due to the global chip shortage, which also effectively quashes the rumors that the Note series has been killed off for good.

Had the Note series been on track for a launch this year, we would have most likely looked at an August launch, so now that it’s out of the way, an August launch for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is actually kind of perfect. The report also goes on to claim that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy S21 FE.

Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed the report yet so take it with a grain of salt. August is still quite some time away so check back with us later for more updates if there are any to be had.
