A couple of years ago, Netflix announced that they would be developing an animated series for the indie hit game, Cuphead. The good news is that it looks like that time is almost upon us because Netflix has since published a teaser trailer for the upcoming series, and we have to say that we’re pretty excited.

For those unfamiliar, Cuphead is a side-scrolling shoot ‘em up game with graphics that mimic the cartoons from the early days of television. The exaggerated facial expressions, the music, and the animation all helped the game gain a massive following, so it’s not surprising that the animated series will be borrowing those similar elements.

In the teaser trailer, we are introduced to the King Dice who is voiced by none other than the extremely talented Wayne Brady. The trailer doesn’t really tell us that much about the series, but based on the animation and voice acting, it certainly looks good and we can’t wait for its release, but hopefully the “Coming Soon” at the end of the video is sooner rather than later.

Cuphead is just one of many video game adaptations that Netflix has embarked on. The company has so far developed animated series based on other video game franchises such as Castlevania, Dota 2, League of Legends, and with more in the works.
