Qualcomm is a name many of you might be familiar with as the company that provides the chipsets that powers many of our favorite phones. However, the company made a surprise announcement earlier this month where they revealed that they were going to make a phone of their own with the help of ASUS.

The company tried to frame it in a way where this is a smartphone designed for enthusiasts, although we’re not sure how true that is, but regardless, it is still a very high-end device that if you are keen, is now available for pre-order from ASUS’ website. However, it does not come cheap with an asking price of $1,500.

Why is it so expensive, you ask? For those who missed the previous announcement, here’s a recap on its specs. The phone in question will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and will come with 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and 5G support. It will also feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED 2448×1080 display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

The cameras are no slouch either where the back of the phone will sport a triple camera setup with a 64MP main shooter, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultrawide. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the back, a set of stereo speakers, and will also come bundled with a pair of Master & Dynamic true wireless earbuds.
