Video games allow us to simulate different people, objects, and more, but if you’ve always wondered what it might be like to simulate a cat, then you might be interested to learn that Annapurna Interactive’s Stray will be releasing in 2022 for both PC and PlayStation consoles, and there’s a new gameplay trailer that shows off what we can expect.

Sony actually showed off the cinematic trailer back in 2020, but this gameplay trailer will provide a more accurate representation of what the game could look like. The premise of the game is that you as the player play as a cat who has been separated from their family, and you will use your cat-like skills to navigate the environment, solve puzzles, and more.

Unlike other animal simulator games like Goat Simulator, which feels kind of silly (but in a good way), Stray seems to have a slightly more serious tone. The game offers an open world concept that lets players explore the beautifully-crafted environment. There are also drones and robots in the game that the player can use and interact with to advance their progress in the game.

In any case, it looks rather interesting and if you have a few minutes to spare, you can check out the gameplay trailer in the video above.
