Have you ever missed out on a WhatsApp group call? Maybe you were busy, or maybe you didn’t hear the phone ring, but whatever the case is, you’ve missed it and the only way to join it would be for them to end the call and call you back. However, that could change in the future, according to WABetaInfo.

The publication has spotted some evidence in the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS that suggests that users can join group calls they missed without the call having to restart. Basically, if you were part of the group call when the call was made but you didn’t join, you might be alerted or see a banner notification in which you can just tap on it to join.

It also shows how the caller could also pull up a list of participants in the call, which will include those who missed the call in the first place, and “ring” them to let them know that a call is currently taking place, just in case that person didn’t hear it the first time round. As many are still working and studying from home, these types of features might be better appreciated, like if you’re trying to reach a colleague or a fellow student for a project.

There is no word on when this feature will be rolled out to users, but as it is in the beta, we imagine that it probably won’t be too long before everyone else sees it.
